It has been said that remembering our past is the key to our future. I would like to invite all of you to our annual Washington City Cotton Days Celebration.
The Celebration will begin May 3rd and last through May 8th. Come and enjoy the kick off to this fun filled week at our Washington City Community Center. For only a dollar you can come and enjoy; swimming, rock climbing, basketball, sand volleyball, refreshments, entertainment, vendors and much more.
Throughout the week of celebration you can enjoy about any activity you wish. There will be field trips, a fishing derby complete with prizes for winners, family hoedown, ice cream social, historical tours, barrel racing, goat tail pulling (that will be fun to watch) and that only gets you to the next day. Enjoy participating in a 3 man scramble golf tournament, our dusk to dawn co-ed softball tournament, dancing, movie in the park, food, kids games, pie eating contests, more food, vendor booths, and the Color Country Tractor Pull. Want more? More live entertainment, parade, breakfast, fireworks, field trips, 5k/10k run in Hell Hole, junior rodeo, craft making, petting zoo, and yes more food.
The Cotton Days Celebration is a wonderful way for you to welcome spring back to Dixie. We should always find ways to celebrate with each other, recognize the sacrifices of those who made it possible for us to enjoy what we have today here in Southern Utah, Washington City proudly honors our past and looks forward to a fantastic future.
Come celebrate with us....Where Dixie Begins..
