The fishing derby is a special event during the week of Cotton Days. The event is free to youth ages 6 - 13 years old and is very well attended. Last year there were over 60 participants who took their poles to the water to catch the most or the biggest fish and get some great prizes. Don't be worried that there is not enough fish, the pond is stocked the day of the event and the fish will be mesmorized by all the bait in the water. This is a fun filled evening for all those who participate and volunteer. Bring the family out to the Razor Ridge Urban Fishery for the Cotton Days Fishing Derby
Prizes will include Fishing Poles, bait and tackle, tackle boxes, and more!
Some fishing poles will be available, but participants are encouraged to bring their own.
